TAKING PICTURES:
I started taking images for the blog around late December 2010 in London. The reason I started taking pictures in the beginning had to do more with time, finance and most of all, the models and photographers' availability. Through taking these pictures, I learned quite a bit about photography and also the subjects that I am covering. What began as an organic process became quite special for me.
As most of the models who have visited JTC this past year could tell you, most of these photographs are taken at my small make shift studio. It is not by design but what is available to me...At first, I felt quite strange taken on the role as a photographer (and shooting at such a small environment!) but what I discovered is that being in such an intimate space, it actually made the subjects I photographed more relax and as a result, more giving to the images.
In my humble opinion, some results are better than others but I utilized this opportunity as my way of experimentation and growth.
This series and the following series I am posting in the next few days are images I felt have stood the test of time for 2011.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of my creative photographer friends who had contributed from the very beginning when I first started this blog. I have the utmost respect for their art, craft and contributions.
Thanks to all the models, models agents/agencies, grooming artists, designers and their respective pr firms. I sincerely appreciate all of your support and time!
Finally, I want to thank all of you for your visit to my blog and witness this work in progress. Happy 2012!
