IN CONVERSATION|ANDREW YAGUE
How did you get discovered?
Met a really nice guy who was a friend of a friend in NYC when I was over here for the summer. He happened to be an agent and he sent me to an agency for a quick meeting. They signed me on the spot! I had never really modeled before, just two fashion shows for the fashion society so it is all very exciting!
What were you doing prior to modeling?
I am a student in Trinity College Dublin, finished my second year college with two years left and then I decided to come to New York for the summer. My plan was to go back in August initially for my third year of college. I study computer science.
People would be surprised to know that I...
was on Ireland's biggest tv game show when I just turned 18. I was the youngest ever contestant.
What's your latest obsession?
Dj-ing, Dublin's underground music exploded in the last few years and with its growth came hugh interest in music especially deep house/funk/disco. I deejay whenever I get a spare second.
Your most prize possession?
My skateboard (as pictured) I mean, how would I get around New York City without it?
Growing up, who did you look up to as your hero?
Stevie Ray Vaughn, I started playing the guitar because of him.
When is the last time you said, "I Love You" to someone?
My roommate and best friend was annoyed at me for bringing a girl home (to the room we share and I asked her to leave for a while) and I had to drop the L-bomb to win her back over
